At Pratt, Read, Budd and I were known as VBS Studios. I went into the
military while Read and Budd went with Pratt Faculty members
Donald Donner and Gordon Lippencote to become involved with the
design of the Tucker Automobile. My wife Liliane visited Vie Design
in Yellow Springs. You were perhaps 10 or 12 years old. You gave
Liliane a cast bit of jewelry. We still have it! (An original Tucker!)

Get back to me and I will send you a photo of the piece. I am now
87 years old living in Baja California with Liliane.

We cherish memories of your Dad and Mom. We still are in touch
with Budd!

Fondly... Jack and the ever delightful , Liliane!

Tucker, I'm glad I was inspired to find out what you do through Google. I'm sure you carry forward Read's attitudes toward design and innovation. You make an observation about how one needs education -- undeveloped talent is everywhere, but meaningful pure inspiration by untutored Natural Man is rare. Meanwhile Yellow Springs becomes more cute and less meaningful every week. I'm sure you are helping New York keep its lead in design. Paul
